Fall Parking Lot Cleaning Services
Leave the Leaves to Us
Fall is the toughest time of year to keep your parking lot clean. Many of our clients consider increasing the frequency of sweeping their parking surfaces in September, October and November. This is because they understand the importance of staying ahead of unsightly build up by eliminating the fallen or windblown leaves on their properties throughout the fall. Hi-Point has a proven solution for getting rid of your pesky leaves this fall.
Our Fall Approach
Over the years Hi-Point Property Services and Sweeping has created an efficient, systematic approach for removing leaves off parking lots. Our proven system for fall parking lot sweeping includes:
- Creating Fall Sweeping Plans – Depending on unique property needs we create a fall parking lot sweeping plan. This plan includes increasing frequency of sweeps to stay ahead of the leaves and helps to identify trouble spots for our drivers to be aware of when we’re scheduled to sweep.
- Power Blowing Property Corners – The sweeper drivers get out of the truck to blow property corners out into sweepable areas.
- Power Vacuum Leaves – Once the leaves are within reach of the sweeper truck we start vacuuming up the leaves by starting at the curbs and working our way out into the driveways and parking lot.
- Multiple Passes – Large amounts of leaves and certain sizes of leaves require multiple passes over the same are to suction all leaves. Our drivers will go over the same areas multiple times to ensure the majority of leaves are removed.
- Back-Up Suction – When large piles of leaves begin to build up under the vacuum head, we back-up over the leaves to create an airflow that breaks up the leaves, allowing the truck to suck them up into the hopper.
- Repeat As Needed – Depending on your sweeping frequency, the weather conditions, amount of leaves and property size our drivers may have to blow out a few corners again, curb-broom some curbs twice and take additional passes over the same area to get the parking lot looking its best.
While all leaves cannot be removed from every parking lot in one night, we have found that a parking lot sweeper is the most effective option for removing leaves from parking surfaces. Especially when you attack your leaves on a weekly basis, rather than waiting for all of the leaves to fall.
Actually Remove the Leaves
We’re effective because our parking lot sweeper trucks suction the leaves into our hopper and remove them from the property completely. Many other services, primarily offered by landscape companies, include power blowing only — this practice sends leaves out into the road or back onto the lawn and lack the ability to totally remove the leaves. They are ineffective and unsustainable because the wind will inevitably swirl and the leaves will blow right back onto your property.
Another issue with power blowing is that it doesn’t remove the fine particles underneath the leaves. With sweeper trucks, our curb broom not only picks up leaves, but it breaks down the dirt and mud build up that attracts and holds leaves in curbs. When a properties undergoes frequent sweeping with a curb broom the leaves tend to blow down the curb line and off of the property, reducing build up and unsightly curb lines.
Removing leaves completely and eliminating the build up that attracts them is the major reason parking lot sweeping is the most effective option for keeping your parking lot clean.
Add or Increase Sweeping this Fall
As you’re planning your fall landscaping clean-up we recommend creating and implementing a parking lot sweeping plan. We can help you determine how often you should sweep, if you need to increase your sweeping (if you already have sweeping) or add sweeping to your fall clean-up service (if you don’t have sweeping). We’ll make sure you’re removing as many leaves as possible so they are not pushed around with the snow all winter, resulting in large piles of debris when the snow melts in the Spring. This will also make your landscaping companies life easier when the amount of leaves are reduced on the property because there will be less to clean up on the grass and beds. We’d love to help you stay on top of your leaves this fall.
