Keeping Utah's air clean is one of the major reasons we run Nite-Hawk sweeper truck. We significantly reduce pollution because our sweeping unit pulls it's power from the engine of the truck rather than requiring a second auxiliary engine like all other trucks. We'll do whatever we can to help reduce our impact on the Utah inversion.

Keeping our waterways clean is another issue we're passionate about. We’re aware that many newly constructed parking lots are required to implement a number of Best Management Practices (BMPs) for stormwater management. One of those best practices can be sweeping. Cleaning parking lots on a regular basis keeps large debris and fine dust particulates from going down storm drains.

More often than not, fine dust particulates can be more damaging to stormwater runoff than larger debris. This dust can contain multiple contaminants and toxins like vehicle lubricants, petroleum products used in pavements, coolants and brake dust as well as other contaminants that fall on the parking area surface. Whenever there is a rain event, anything left on the paved surface will be picked up by the stormwater runoff and flow untreated into Utah’s waterways.
